- The Federal Chancellery's Digital Transformation and ICT Steering (DTI) department supports and coordinates the digital transformation of the federal administration and provides so-called standard services (e.g. website, telephony, email) centrally.
In paragraph 4.8.1 of the instructions for control and management of standard services in accordance with the Digitization Ordinance DigiV and W008, it is regulated that the DTI department of the BK carries out price and cost benchmarks if necessary in order to check and compare the economic viability of the standard services. The instrument of periodic market comparisons (Benchmarking) is used to regularly (every 2 years) show key figures on the economic efficiency of the individual standard services. In addition, if necessary, market analyzes are required for individual sub-areas or services of the standard services. Market analyzes in the area of specialist applications and ICT services must also be provided optionally for the central federal administration.
