Description:
The Institute of Chemical Engineering (ISIC) of the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL) intends to acquire a multifunctional X-ray diffractometer for the quantitative characterization of powders, nano-materials and polycrystalline-criminals. The instrument will be equipped with aX -ray source in CU, a 0D and 1D detector and an efficient samples. It will be possible to make measures in reflection with a divergent beam (Bragg Brentano) and from the razing angle (GID). In addition, a sample chamber will make measurements under gas atmosphereAnd up to at least 800 C, in Bragg Brentano reflection mode, and will also be compatible with GID measurements. This equipment will be installed in a multi-user environment within a characterization platform, and will be used in free access by trained users. Consequently,The ease of handling hard and software, the low risk of poor manipulation or interpretation, as well as a rapid and effective measurement cycle is required. The emphasis will be placed on the modular, versatile character and the possibility of extension.
