Description:
The Klingnau (AKA) Aar power plant is a river power plant and forms the lowest production level of the Aare directly above the mouth into the Rhine. Since the system was built as a block power plant, there is no residual water route. The AKA power plant plants are located in the municipal area of Koblenz, Leuggern, Boettstein, Klingnau and Doettingen (all canton of Aargau). The existing fish climbing aid (FAH) no longer meets today's ecological requirements. There is no fish descent assistance (FABH).
