- The canton of Obwalden plans to move the existing traffic safety center (VSZ) to a new area at the Sarnen Werkhof in order to create space for additional administrative uses in the previous location. The development of the new location was examined as part of a preliminary project and as classified feasible. A central component of this development is a newly planned roundabout that combines the access to the VSZ, the heating power plant, the workshop, the A8 motorway and the A8 motorway.
