Description:
The University Hospital of Zurich uses three different pipe transport systems (RTA) to transport files, blood samples and other goods. These are not compatible with each other. The two older systems are at the end of their lifespan and are wearing out high risk of failure. A new RTA should primarily meet the needs of the service units on the existing USZ area. In the future, in addition to transporting files and blood samples, we will also be able to transport medicines, pathological tissue samples and material for microbiology be transported.
