- The Federal Office of Statistics BFS is the national center of Switzerland's public statistics. It produces and publishes important statistical information on the condition and development of the population, economy, society, space and the environment. It complements this with overarching Analyzes, develops indicator systems for the recording of complex facts, develops scenarios of future developments and ensures historical database.
All activities of the BFS are based on the BTATG, the Ordinance on the Organization of National Statistics and further specific legal bases. In the appendix to the regulation, over 200 concrete statistical activities are listed.
Statistics production ranges from the conception of a survey, data acquisition, quality control, customer support, data evaluation to the Publication.
In phases of large workload, the BFS uses the support of external personnel lenders. Since this can be the case in the entire statistical production process, the requirements for the personnel to be mediated vary.
To failable failures (Long -term abbreviations, maternity leave, etc.), the BFS uses employees of external personnel lendingers.
