Description:
The present project includes the repair of the approximately 100-year natural stone support walls of Gruet I, Pfaffen and Kirchenrank on railway line 730 Zurich Stadelhofen-Rapperswil in the municipality of Herrliberg. The retaining wall is a hybrid of heavyweight and disguise walls. The aim is to ensure the load -bearing safety and usability of the buildings for the next 80 years using suitable structural measures. Due to the damaged state - in particular defective joints, damaged wall stones and grumbling mortar as a result of moisture - measures are such as joint renovation, replacement of individual wall stones, nailing, nailing and the renewal of the fall protection. The narrow space between the retaining walls, tracks and ripts allows work under operation only very limited, which is why a large part of the work must take place in night intervals with closed track. Due to the location in a densely populated area, the night work is reduced to an absolute minimum. The construction site logistics are primarily via the rail, with installation and logistics areas in the immediate vicinity of the buildings. The Project places high demands on planning, construction process and safety precautions in ongoing rail operations.
