Description:
The Geoinformation Department is the central contact point for all geoinformation matters within the administration of the Canton of Basel-Stadt. As a department of the land registry and surveying office in the construction and transport department, it is responsible for the central Provision of services in the area of geoinformation, in particular the publication of geodata as well as the operation and further development of the cantonal geodata infrastructure (GDI) and the cantonal geoportal. A central element of this infrastructure is the Publication assistant, which supports the standardized, quality-assured and efficient publication of geodata in the cantonal geoportal.
