Description:
The PSI requires precise DC high-voltage devices with only positive and/or only negative polarity of 70 to 350 kV to further develop and renew the proton acceleration system HIPA:
For the impact project (2025-2028), the PSI needs 6 high-voltage devices with a voltage up to 350kv. A permanent operation of +/- 320kv is aimed at, and a good 10% higher voltage is required for conditioning.
In addition, there is a need for renewal for the existing devices up to 200kv. Almost 20 devices between the ages of ten and twenty years are in operation here gradually should be renewed.
