- Significant parts of the village of Vitznau lie in danger zones with low to considerable danger caused by mage lengths from the Altdorfbach. There are therefore considerable protection deficits. The canton of Lucerne is therefore developing a flood protection project for the Altdorfbach. The decisive part of the flood protection project is a new slope collector in the Rüti / Buholz area. It is said to hold back up to 50,000 m3 volume.
