- In order to achieve the objectives set by the State of Geneva, the energy master plan and best respond to the 2022 votes on Structuring Thermal Networks as well as the creation of a monopoly (decree of December 2024), all resources energy resources of the Geneva territory must be mobilized to sustainably supply heat to the Canton's calls. Thus the OCEN and SIG have defined priority sectors for the deployment of the Remote Heat (CAD) network), GeniTerre, and in order to to be able to connect the greatest number of buildings in these sectors, optimization of the deployment of heat networks is expected. The creation of these infrastructures of the GeniTerre program involves the installation of pipe networks buried subject to significant mechanical, thermal and environmental stresses. In order to guarantee the safety, durability and regulatory compliance of these installations, detailed static studies of the pipes and their supports are essential. These studies should make it possible to verify the mechanical strength of the pipes in operating and exceptional conditions, to optimize their design and to ensure their compliance with the standards, directives and requirements in force in the cantonal, federal and European level.
