The project is part of the master plan Hospital of the HUG 2022-2040 which aims to modernize and develop the institution's housing stock.
The Lina Stern bed building (6a) and its lift tower (6b) is a large-scale building (44 m high on street, +/- 50,000 m2 of SP) which arrives in obsolescence after 60 years operating. Constructive, functional, cultural and integration qualities in the Cluse-Roseraie (CR) site of the building confirm the opportunity to carry out a general renovation project. The project has the objectives of compliance with the building, to allow it a second cycle of life, as well as an improvement in the efficiency of the organization of the hospital in the perimeter of the Master Plan North Zone (MPZN).
