- The Lengnau station project aims to comply with the law on equal rights of disabled people (Lhand). The station does not meet the current standards concerning the lengths, heights and widths of the quays, which no longer comply with the requirements of the DE-OCF. It is not Planned significant changes in the regional transport offer between Olten, Solothurn and Biel/Bienne.
The specific objectives and measures of the project include:
* Application of Lhand's requirements:
* Construction of a main platform and an intermediate quay with a length of use standard of 160 m, with the possibility of extension to 235 m.
* Construction of a new underground passage with new access to the south on plot 874.
* Renewal of the train track n 3, including the underside, the drainage and the protections.
* Adjustments of the railway installation in function of the new structure of the quays.
* Update of the power supply to adapt to new quays, while guaranteeing compatibility for a length of use of 235 m.
* Environmental development of the station to facilitate access to transport, including parking lots P+R and B+R.
* Potential exploitation of synergies for the necessary maintenance measures on various installations.
