- 1.1 Introduction AXPO Grid AG operates a supra-regional distribution network in the “Zürichsee Süd” area. By converting the existing Freienbach - Siebnen overhead line (L220) from 50 kV to 110 kV, the conditions will be created in the “Zurichsee Süd” region. to change the voltage. This serves to ensure long-term security of supply of electrical energy throughout northeastern Switzerland. The existing overhead line between the Freienbach and Siebnen substations from the Waldegg in Freienbach and the Wiler Äbnet in Altendorf were buried. Axpo intends to wire the existing 16 or 50 kV overhead line between the M57 to M83 masts with a single strand and between the M83 mast and the M115 mast with two strands. The approximately 8.2 km long The majority of the pipeline section is to be laid underground in open trenches, supplemented by ramming and flushing drilling. All planned measures (cable pipe routes, crossings under bodies of water and modes of transport) are in the planning documents included for submission.
