  • The EPFL wishes to acquire an active LOAD-Pull measurement system below Terahertz (Sub-Thz), as well as a series of frequency extensors adapted to VNA and VMU measuring units, for the characterization of RF semiconductor devices (3 lots). This system will cover a frequency range going About 75 GHz to 260 GHz for high power measurements, as well as additional low power extensors covering the 220 GHz range at 330 GHz (and beyond), for the powerlab of the Institute of Electric Genius and Microotechnics (IEM).
    The equipment will be dedicated to the search for Pointe on the power systems in millimeter and sub-Thz waves, as well as on the hyperfrequency monolithic circuits (MMICS). In accordance with the scientific objectives of the PowerLab, the accent will be placed in the following areas:
    High frequency and high power devices for next generation communication applications;
    Frequency extensors will be used to characterize RF devices in the range of 75 to 260 GHz, with high power modules suitable for LOAD-Pull measurements. In addition, low -power extensors covering the range of 220 to 330 GHz (and beyond) will be connected to a Keysight PNA system.
