Description:
In order to enable the renovation of the existing - around 17 km long - Gotthard Strassentunnel, the Federal Council, Parliament and the population decided to build a second tube. The BSA equipment of the second tube, referred to as tube north, takes place in the years 2027 to 2030, partiallyparallel zur Fertigstellung der baulichen Arbeiten. Immediately after the opening of the tube north in oncoming, the existing tube, which is referred to as tube south. The structural renovation is scheduled for 2030 to 2036. Die bestehende BSA-Ausruestung derRoehre Sued wird aufgrund ihres Alters komplett zurueckgebaut. This is followed by the structural renovation and the BSA new equipment. In the final state, the GTG is operated at a speed of 80 km/h in the direction of direction (a lane plus breakdown strip per tube). Eine Sperrung einer Roehrebut will occur again and again for maintenance and events.
