The A2 north-south main traffic axis is of great importance for Switzerland and international passenger and goods traffic. The northernmost section of the A2, the Basel east bypass, is one of the busiest motorway sections in Switzerland. The eastern tangent is characterized by many engineering structures, especially the bridges, but also several underpasses, retaining walls and tunnels. In the years 2025 to 2026, the renovation of the Schwarzwalt Tunnel and the Bäumlihof Bridge will be in renovation section 1 to. Further renovations will follow later along the eastern bypass in the inner city area. These will last until 2029. The content of this tender includes the transport services within the entire project perimeter.
