Description:
In the perimeter of the regional unit GE X/Zentras (Kt. NW/OW/LU/ZG), ten change text display signals (WTA) are currently in operation, which have to be renewed due to their age and different technology standards. Two systems are already out of operation and can no longer be set up. The aim of the project is the overall renewal of all ten WTA locations to a uniform, fully graphic and maintenance-friendly standard, to enable maintenance work under traffic, for example. The new WTA signals are integrated into the system worlds of VL-CH and GE X. In addition, the project includes the renewal of the plant control and the repair of the sometimes cross -road signal bridges (steel construction). The existing infrastructure is taken over as far as possible. The implementation is urgent due to the condition of the WTA locations and is said to take place in 2026-2028.
