Description:
The purpose of the urban development study contract with project in-depth studies to be advertised is to develop a long-term urban development and spatial target image for a central area of the Museumsquartier Bern and to be binding for all those involved To define instructions for future infrastructure development. An integral part of the process are also project in-depth studies for a museum garden as an identity-creating outdoor space, as well as for new buildings and extensions of the Alpine area Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Museum of Communication. The aim of the process is to create a perception of the Museumsquartier Bern as a coherent, high-quality urban space with a noticeable connection between the individual institutions. The Planning and subsequent implementation should take place with a clear focus on the experience value for visitors to the museum quarter.
