Description:
Urban, social and ecological relationships form the basic principles of the project for the new primary school on Walkeweg in Basel. The urban development ensemble consists of three houses: au -laying building, daily structure and class wing. The auditorium and daily structure in the south are faced with the district square And usable for the neighborhood. The class wing in the north is devoted to concentrated learning. The three buildings frame the Tiny Forest, a green schoolyard and playground, which is open to both the students and children from the neighborhood. The task requires An innovative and sustainable school. The architecture is based on sustainable building. It is simple, free and concrete. Low-tech concept, wood and clay constructions as well as spatially integrated photovoltaic elements. Outlap buildings and daily structure are oriented towards the square and have two Floors. The class wing has five upper and two bases with an intermediate floor.
