Description:
On the Konolfingen-Thun route is the Heimberg tunnel, also called Hasliwald tunnel, which was built in 1910 for the then Burgdorf-Thun-Bahn (BTB).
It is a locking tunnel that is located in rocks (nail fluh and sandstone) and disguised on approx. 50% of the route is. According to the tunnel inspection from 2022, the tunnel is in sufficient to poor condition (ZK 3.75). Due to the condition, the tunnel over the entire length (including the tunnel portals and retaining walls in the neighboring terrain cuts) must be renewed.
