- The Aargau overall transport model is a macroscopic representation of transport demand and supply in the canton. It is primarily aimed at passenger transport and takes into account the means of motorized individual transport (MIV), public transport (public transport), pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The GVM-AG is used for planning transport services as well as for political institutions for communication and decision-making. It serves to determine the effects of measures from the to estimate transport policy, planning and traffic technology and thereby promote well-founded decisions. The present model was rebuilt based on the base year 2015 with a forecast status of 2040 and has now been partially updated.
