Description:
The Feld school building is located in the center of the old Veltheim and has been enlarged in several stages. In 1878 the Realschulhaus (Altes Schulhaus Feld) on Loewenstr. 3 put into operation.
In 1951 the Loewenstrasse 5 and 1952 was added to the secondary school at Loewenstrasse 7. In 2009 there was a new building with a multi -purpose hall and rooms for the school management and the old buildings were renovated.
It is an example of the rural school house architecture of the late 19th century And is listed in the publication -worthy building of the city of Winterthur as an inventory object of municipal importance.
The school and sport department is planning an overall renovation for the old school building Feld.
This means that the school building can continue for the next 30 to 40 years for school purposes be used. The school building should be barrier -free and a heating replacement is to be implemented for the entire school system.
