• Description:
• The aim of the project is to partially renew the railway infrastructure at Enge station, including the adjacent tunnels (Ulmberg and Enge tunnels), in order to meet the increased requirements in passenger and freight transport. The works particularly concern the repair of the tunnel vaults and the construction of a new slab track in the two tunnels. In addition, the drainage systems, the cable infrastructure and the shoulders will be renewed and the conductor rails will be adjusted. In the train station Zurich-Enge, the existing rail accesses will be adapted and supplemented in accordance with the Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act (BehiG); New platform edges are planned, including extending the platforms into the Enge tunnel and adding obstacle-free access. The Extensive construction work is being carried out while the railway is in operation and in a demanding environment with several third-party projects running in parallel. The work will be carried out in stages to ensure operational and occupational safety. With the Implementation will sustainably improve the operability of the tunnels, the safety and accessibility of Enge station and upgrade the infrastructure for future traffic requirements. The investment volume is approximately CHF 70 million (incl. SBB services). Project alliance: For project management, SBB has decided on a project alliance in accordance with SIA leaflet 2065 "Planning and building with project alliances".
