Description:
The “Water Supply Spierberg, Flühli” project aims to sustainably improve the inadequate drinking and fire-fighting water supply in the Spierberg area. Around 20 households, which were previously supplied by private, sometimes unreliable sources, are to be connected to a shared water supply in the future. The water comes from the Schwändi spring and, if necessary, can also be obtained from the existing Flühli water supply. Several staged pumping stations and reservoirs, a total of nine water and fire-fighting water tanks, and around 7 km of new pipes are planned. The project area is located in a sensitive moorland, which is why environmental and soil protection measures are planned. Services for the creation of a cable route for the CKW and the connection of buildings outside the construction zone to the public sewer system were integrated into the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2026 and commissioning will take place in spring 2027.
