- In Wil, Thuraustrasse leads east from the Rössli roundabout to under the Georg Rennerstrasse bridge, towards the city gardening center. In the area from the Rössli restaurant to the kindergarten on Schönengrundweg, the road is being renovated as part of a repair project and sidewalks renewed. Edges, shaft covers and asphalt surfaces will be completely replaced over a length of around 290 meters in the western section of Thuraustrasse, from the entrance to the Rössli restaurant to the marked road surface. In the In the eastern section, the road surface in the area where the pipeline is being constructed will be replaced over a length of around 120 meters. The surface layers in the entire area will be renewed at a later date, estimated in 2029 (separate tender). In the In the section of the road repair described, the Wil technical companies are creating lines for a new district heating network, which will also be continued from Schönengrundweg to the SchĂŒtzenstrasse intersection. The district heating network consists of one Main line, which will be re-laid in the Thuraustrasse roadway at a depth of around two meters over a length of around 400 meters, as well as several building connections that will be connected crosswise to the new main line on both sides.
