Description:
The Basel Verkehrsbetriebe (BVB), together with other transport companies, operate stationary ticket machines in the Swiss cantons of Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft, Solothurn, Aargau and the border foreign countries. The devices have reached their mechanical and technical end of life and shouldbe replaced by a new device generation in 2027.
Currently there are devices of the "AFA 490" type of ATRON Systems AG. The individual devices are owned by various transport companies. All devices in use are the sameBackend connected, which is operated in a company community of the various transport organizations together with Atron. In the future, a comparable constellation and a comparable acquisition and operation are planned.
