Description:
The existing green roof of the tract A of the Kirschgarten school building is being renovated in order to restore the functionality of the roof area and to upgrade ecologically and aesthetically. The aim of the renovation is to promote biodiversity. The use as a living area remains limited to the area of the existing wooden deck, without structural changes in this section. A variety of green roofs with extensive and intensive perennial areas as well as woody planting on the edges is planned. Various biotope structures such as dead wood, reading stones, gravel and Sand surfaces and clay islands are supposed to create habitats for various types.
