Description:
The Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU) has the order to ensure the sustainable use of natural resources such as soil, water, air, calm and forest. The BAFU section has been operating the emission information system of Switzerland (EMIS) for over 30 years. EMIS is the essential controlling instrument for Swiss air resistance policy and for the climate-based goals. The EMIS data are regularly prepared, analyzed and reports are regularly submitted as part of the international conventions and agreements. The database contains measured values and modeled data over the period from 1900-2050 (60,000 time series). The currently used EMIs application has reached the end of its lifespan and will not be further developed in the current version by the software provider in the foreseeable future. The RFI aims to create a market overview.
