Description:
In the STEP AS35 offer concept, the last double-lane gap on the east-west axis between Rorschach and Rorschach city is to be closed. In addition, a 6th platform edge for a conflict-free overtaking track south of the two main tracks will be built in Rorschach for the AK35 offer concept needed. The entrances to the station will be made barrier-free in accordance with BehiG. SBB Passenger Transport is also planning a new service facility for Thurbo regional train vehicles in Rorschach on the southeast side of the current platform system, while the city of Rorschach intends to build in the area of the future Double lane expansion, at the same time a new pedestrian and bicycle underpass (FVV underpass Scholastikastrasse) should be realized.
