Description:
A new service center (SZ) is to be built as part of the modernization of the Appenzeller Bahnen (AB). In the new service center in the traffic building (VER) there will be one track for the car wash and three tracks for the maintenance of the rolling stock with a mechanical workshop and office and storage areascreated. The infrastructure building (INF) accommodates an electrical workshop, a metalworking shop, pallet and small parts storage, vehicle adjustment and parking, as well as cloakroom, lounge and office space. In an additional building, the outbuilding (NEB), are locatedthe cold room storage for material and vehicles, disposal, the transformer and rectifier station and a sand silo. An external storage facility in the area of the siding is also planned for the track and catenary specialist services.
