Description:
The city of Winterthur needs additional school space for the upper level on the plot of the Römerstrasse primary school and the Rychenberg secondary school. The location was selected after a thorough evaluation and is at a second depth of construction away from the street. The construction of a wooden module is planned, which integrates into the existing total system both functionally and design. High demands on architecture, construction as well as ecological and economic aspects must be met. The building should be designed for a longer service life in order to meet the requirements in the long term. The project essentially includes the construction of five classrooms with the associated group rooms and a TTG room. Particular emphasis is placed on sustainable and functional construction. The offerers are asked to develop the space program with a design in the module grid selected.
