- Since the two sewage treatment plants, ARA Seez and ARA Walenstadt, need to be renovated and expanded due to their age and capacity in the next few years, the Seeztal wastewater association, which was founded at the beginning of 2024, intends to connect the catchment areas of the ARA Seez with the To bring together the communities of Flums, Mels, Quarten and part of Walenstadt as well as the ARA Walenstadt at the site of today's ARA Seez and to build a new, future-oriented sewage treatment plant. For this purpose, the Seeztal wastewater association had two preliminary projects developed, namely a preliminary project ARA Seeztal as well as a preliminary project connection Walenstadt with pumping station and rain overflow basin in today's ARA Walenstadt and pressure line to the new sewage treatment plant as well as dismantling of the ARA Walenstadt.
