- EPFL plans to acquire a Confocal Spluting Specottering System dedicated to the deposit of high -quality thin films. The tool will be installed in the white room platform of the micro and nanotechnology center (EPFL CMI). The equipment will be dedicated to research at the forefront of Technology on slim superconducting films with high kinetic inductance, including NBN, NBTIN, TIN and TAN.
With regard to the needs of the EPFL and the specific scientific objectives of its hybrid quantum circuits laboratory, the emphasis will be placed on the fields of research following:
• Superconductive devices designed for quantum applications, such as optomechanical devices and quantum circuit electrodynamic systems.
