English the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) Wishes to Receive Expressionsof interest from companies providing technical expertise services in the field of construction, specifically for the assessment of water infiltration issues.The company will be responsible for providing the service of a Principal Expert who will be required to perform the following tasks:• Determinethe nature(s) and cause(s) of the damage and/or defects, assessing them against construction best practices and applicable contract standards.• If there are multiple contributing factors, the expert shall provide a technical assessment of their relative importance (none, minor, significant, orexclusive).Wherever possible, the damages or defects linked to each cause shall be distinguished.• Identify the shortcomings and/or errors, specifying their nature while indicating which standards or practices were not respected.• Evaluate the possibilities of repairing the damage and/or addressingthe defects.Provide technical drawings or sketches of the solution to be implemented.• Define any additional actions that would need to be undertaken to ensure the achieved works are fully satisfactory for its purpose.• Conduct necessary investigations in collaboration with the parties. If deemednecessary, the expert may involve third parties to complete the analysis.• Address any further questions raised by the parties.• Identify whether any circumstances may have prevented the Contractor to pursue and implementthe...
