Description:
The Soor and Dietfurt power plants are located in the municipality of Bütschwil, on the Thur and use their water to produce electricity. These are classic diversion power plants (run-of-river power plants), which collect the water from the river at a weir and transfer it feed a short channel to the turbine before the water is returned to the river. A Kaplan turbine works in each control center. The machine and the headquarters building will not be rebuilt! As part of the planned renovation of the fish migration (descent), the upper water channel is widened, a fish descent is created (basin pass) and a new horizontal screen cleaning system is built. The construction work includes various demolition work (concrete and hydraulic steel construction), rock demolition work as well as concrete work including coordination with other trades (hydraulic steel construction, metal construction…).
