The Federal Office of customs and border security (BAZG) fulfills numerous tasks for the state, economy and population. It is not only about the collection of tariffs, consumption taxes and steering levies, but also about the implementation of over 200 customs and non -Collicular issues(Nze) and regulations. The BAZG also performs tasks in the security and migration area. The precious metal control attached to the BAZG checks precious metals, bijouteria and watches for their authenticity. Alcohol control also belongs to the BAZG. The BAZG staffing isapprox. 4,500 employees.
