The energy network uses heat pumps to use the thermal energy of the cleaned wastewater of the ARA Richterswil to the operation of a "warm energy network" (useful energy for heating and warm water treatment). The heat pumps (3 MW) cover the band load. Gas burners (2 MW) take over the top load.
