Description:
The Sandgruben II school building at Schwarzwaldallee 163 was built in 1956 by the Basel architect Fritz Beckmann and has not been renovated since then, apart from selective interventions. It includes classrooms and a gymnasium, which is currently used by the General Basel trade school (AGS) and the Sandgruben I secondary school can be used. A feasibility study is available on structural measures such as earthquake retrofitting, fire protection and energy and ecological upgrades.
