A repair project began in 2014 to adapt the line to current requirements.
Between Lavorgo and Amsteg, insulator chains, Extension tips, conductor ropes and the ground rope replaced. In addition, the replacement of twelve masts is necessary to ensure the minimum distances between the conductor cables and the ground and other lines in accordance with the current Cable Ordinance (LeV).
The master rate requires the construction of new foundations. These are located at an altitude of between 1,164.9 m and 2,325.4 m above sea level and are partly located in high alpine mountains.
