Description:
The Democratic Republic of Congo, despite its vast natural resources, remains one of the poorest and most unstable countries, particularly in the East where numerous armed groups operate. The Swiss Directorate of Development and Cooperation (DDC) has been active in the DRC since the 1990s, particularly in the field of vocational training. The current professional training program, PROMOST, will continue until March 2026. In its new country program 2026-2029, the SDC is putting a focus on building the economic resilience of vulnerable groups, such as youth, women and people displaced by conflict. Le nouveau projet Ufundi vise à améliorer les compétences professionnelles des jeunes vulnérables in North and South Kivu, while promoting entrepreneurship and access to sustainable income.
