- The project consists of building a new 8 km feed gallery between the Vissoie compensation basin and the departure of the penstock at Niouc for the Vissoie-Chippis stage, of the Forces Motrices de la Gougra SA development chain.
The majority of the gallery layout supply (internal diameter 3.6 m) will be excavated with a tunnel boring machine (7,705 ml) and the rest by conventional method in the soft ground (176 ml) and in the rock mass (70 ml) in Vissoie. The project also includes the construction of an access gallery (600 ml) in Niouc using a conventional method in the rocky massif, future balance chimney. The supply gallery excavated with a tunnel boring machine is covered with prefabricated reinforced concrete elements (voussoirs). Transport of excavation materials is planned by trucks.
In addition, the project includes the termination of a new water intake in the dyke of the Vissoie basin as well as the installation of a new penstock (120 ml) connecting the supply gallery and the existing penstock to the Navizence power station.
For carrying out the work, four installation places are planned: three in the Niouc sector (portal balance chimney, gate to the pickling gallery and storage space) and one in the Vissoie sector (gate to the water intake).
